Internet
As student KPM, I have problem about the internet. Everytime I want to use internet, i'm always going back home. Luckily, my home is not too far from KPM. I don't know why KPM did not provide us with internet. We want to do assignment using information from internet. It's a bit difficult for us to find the information. We have to go to the cafe to use the internet but it is until 11 pm. After that, no more cafe. We cannot done finding information within 2 hours, right? Of course we want use until midnight. Now, all the lecturer ask to submit the assignment using LMS. Even we have broadband, we still can't use the LMS because of the Intranet. All works, announcement, assignment we have to know using LMS. We also can use Open Access to open LMS. Luckily we have class in Lab, so that we can use the LMS everytime the class. So, now I want to share types of the internet that now people always use.

Handphone Safety and Health Effects
Don’t use your phone in your car
When used in isolated environment, phone will have difficulty in reaching the network, so it will increase the power level to reach it. Your phone will have power level higher in the car than in the outside. So, if you are really affraid of phone radiation don’t use it on car or isolated metal area (plane, ship). Car Metal body create Faraday effect, that make radiation bounce back in the room, make it accumulate into greater radiation (just like speaker box, no box will make speaker sound softer).
Greater risk of accident.
Some contry make it illegal.
Don’t use fake batteries
Lithium ion are explosive item, poor manufacturing can make the batteries easily exploded on bend or drop.
Signal Booster
Signal booster can increase phone signal strength greatly. It can also make the phone do not conform to FCC certification anymore, because the signal emitted by phone using signal strength device can have SAR Rating bigger than FCC safety limits.
Using a passive signal booster (the one without electronics) is considerably safe, because it works just like extendable antenna do, and the phone it self still have control over signal gain strength. When using active signal booster, the phone do not have control on how much power to emit in order to reach the network adequately. When the signal booster emit the signal too strong the phone will emit greater radiation than standard, also this will hampering cellular network, making other user hard to connect to network.
Things to consider
Buy handphone with speakerphone capability, use it if you affraid of radiation.
Every cellphone is safe, use SAR rating as guidance to find phone with good reception, don’t use it to consider radiation level.
If you think about light frequency band, you usually use anti UV cream or sunglasses to avoid radiation of ultra violet light which can damage your skin. But many people use high intensity infra red to make their skin tan. Handphone frequency is well bellow infra red frequency, so, direct expose will not damage your skin even with high intensity base station antenna.
It’s called ‘cellular’ because the system uses many base stations to divide a service area into multiple ‘cells’. Cellular calls are transferred from base station to base station as a user travels from cell to cell. – definition from the Wireless Advisor Glossary.
These days, cell phones provide an incredible array of functions, and new ones are being added at a breakneck pace. Depending on the cell-phone model, you can:
- Store contact information
- Make task or to-do lists
- Keep track of appointments and set reminders
- Use the built-in calculator for simple math
- Send or receive e-mail
- Get information (news, entertainment, stock quotes) from the Internet
- Play games
- Watch TV
- Send text messages
- Integrate other devices such as PDAs, MP3 players and GPS receivers
Martin Cooper-Designer of the first mobile phone.
April 3, 2003 marked the 30th anniversary of the first public telephone call placed on a portable cellular phone. Martin Cooper ( now chairman, CEO, and co-founder of ArrayComm Inc) placed that call on April 3, 1973, while general manager of Motorola's Communications Systems Division. It was the incarnation of his vision for personal wireless communications, distinct from cellular car phones. That first call, placed to Cooper's rival at AT&T's Bell Labs from the streets of New York City, caused a fundamental technology and communications market shift toward the person and away from the place.
"People want to talk to other people - not a house, or an office, or a car. Given a choice, people will demand the freedom to communicate wherever they are, unfettered by the infamous copper wire. It is that freedom we sought to vividly demonstrate in 1973," said Martin Cooper.
Martin Cooperadded, "As I walked down the street while talking on the phone, sophisticated New Yorkers gaped at the sight of someone actually moving around while making a phone call. Remember that in 1973, there weren't cordless telephones, let alone cellular phones. I made numerous calls, including one where I crossed the street while talking to a New York radio reporter - probably one of the more dangerous things I have ever done in my life."
Following the April 3, 1973, public demonstration, using a "brick"-like 30-ounce phone, Cooper started the 10-year process of bringing the portable cell phone to market. Motorola introduced the 16-ounce "DynaTAC" phone into commercial service in 1983, with each phone costing the consumer $3,500. It took seven additional years before there were a million subscribers in the United States. Today, there are more cellular subscribers than wireline phone subscribers in the world, with mobile phones weighing as little as 3 ounces.

Cell Phones
Nowadays, we can see various types of handphone or cellphone. Teenagers like to have a latest phone. So, do I. But for me as long as the phone can use, I'm still did not want to change it with the latest phone. Those are the phone that I always see student KPM use.
Actually, I like this type of phone. Very unique, beautiful, and the typing is like I type at the keyboard. This much better than Blackberry even the Blackberry is more better than this. I only can see for the long distance who use this phone. :) It's easy to check email because is like you type in laptop and you also can play a game during your free time.
This phone is interesting and suitable for the young generation. But for me, No because I am a hurry person (sometime). so, when I'm try to type there must be a mistake even for my phone now. So, for the person like me, it's not a very good phone you use to. This is also the good ways to surf the internet and take a picture or video. Student who always go for the trip, can use this phone to take picture or video without buy a camera digital or video recorder. 3 in 1 !
Sorry, no colour. This phone look cute and okay for the student. Look simple and small. I also like this one. Although the function not as much as the other phone but I think this is suitable for the students.

First, I like to read various types of quotes and at last I found these quotes look similar on what I want.
“Technology is like a fish. The longer it stays on the shelf, the less desirable it becomes."
Fish can't stay in the dry land too long. If they have to stay too long, they will get no oxygen. The only one can help them back to normal is water. They will die and never got the chance to going back as usual.
Andrew Heller quotes
